I was looking for some inspiration in the direction of lighting up the back garden, or at least some areas of it. I don’t have a massive plot, but I do have a very nice shrubbery now and at certain times of the year, it would be nice to have a lighting scheme that would pick out various specimens in the evening. I’ve seen such a scheme at a nationally renowned house and garden – their lighting is most effective. You look back up towards the house, their shrubbery is in the foreground and they have very atmospheric lighting dotted throughout. They also have two medium sized trees that have uplighting from the ground. It is eery but stunningly beautiful. Really makes the point about the natural architecture we have around us.
